We are currently looking for members to join the following committees:

This committee will:
CUPE 403 is committed to fair compensation for all members, and we need your help to make it happen. We’re building a committee trained to evaluate jobs, review reclassification requests, write job descriptions, and help ensure pay reflects the true value of the work our members do.
You’ll get hands-on training, support from CUPE specialists, and play a key role in maintaining wage fairness in our workplace.
We’re currently seeking members to join our team of Stewards. This is an opportunity to support your coworkers, enhance your skills, and play a key role in our collective efforts.
As a Steward, you will serve as the primary point of contact for members within your designated area, providing support, disseminating information, and advocating for their interests.

Political action is a vital component of our union advocacy, and we are actively seeking members to join the CUPE 403 Political Action Committee.
Government policies and decisions directly impact our wages, working conditions, and the services and programs we provide. The progressive rights of our labour work force have been achieved through decades of advocacy and collective bargaining power. Collaborating with community partners and mobilizing our collective voting strength, we can ensure our elected representatives prioritize the needs of our members, union-based hiring, and negotiate favourable collective agreements.

The committee will bring awareness to important political issues and make reports to the membership through communications and meetings. Collaborate with the Executive Board to draft press releases and other publicity materials. Work in partnership with the public relations departments of CUPE to support and implement the policies of both the Local and CUPE. It will collaborate with the Executive Board to advance CUPE Local 403’s political priorities. |
